Celbridge Area Guide

Guide to Celbridge

HouseLet was founded in Celbridge and have served the area for over 20 years. We are the only dedicated lettings and property management agent in the area. Celbridge is situated right on Dublin’s border and has become an increasingly popular commuter town. Celbridge has one of the youngest populations in North Kildare and is a popular suburb for young families for various reasons.

Connections for commuters are excellent, with Dublin Bus, Bus Eireann and Irish Rail all running frequent services. The Dublin Bus route is 67 and terminates in Merrion Square or UCD. The Bus Eireann terminates at Connolly station. Whilst the Hazelhatch train service terminates at Hueston Station or Pearse St. Station.

The schools in the area are excellent and some of the best in the greater Dublin area. Celbridge currently has three post primary schools and four national schools. St Wolstan’s is one of the most sought-after girls’ secondary schools in North Kildare.

Celbridge has an abundance of character and boasts several national heritage sites. Some of the most popular are Castletown Estate and Parklands. The gorgeous Palladian mansion looks over fabulous grounds that stretch down to the banks of the Liffey. The Parklands is a fabulous spot for a long walk or morning run. There is also a gorgeous farmers market every Sunday where you can find independent vendors selling their own produce.

Celbridge is a quiet town however there are an abundance of bars to cater for all your tastes. The Village Inn is very popular for food and live music. The Castletown Inn also offers excellent pub grub and has a trad session on every Thursday.

There is a mix of housing available in the area from period homes, 80’s, 90’s right up to present day new builds. Due to popular demand, new builds can be hard to come by however the area continues to see new investment. Due to its proximity to Dublin City Centre and other key employment centres such as Intel, Celbridge has a thriving rental market.
